Just ordered my Ibis White S5 Prestige and plan...

Just ordered my Ibis White S5 Prestige and plan on slapping the Rieger kit on there. LLTEK reps said that the rear valence should be paired with LLTEK's custome quad-tip exhause which is made specifically for the Rieger kit (so that the tips fill in the gaps perfectly).

Their exhaust is almost $2k and is 'privately' made. Anyone know if the GMG or Stassis exhaust would work? I'm pretty sure it will but wanted to get some opinions.

Here's the rear with the LLTEK exhaust:
http://upload-image.net.s3.amazonaws...-s5-rieger.jpg

There's obvious reasons for spending $2k on a privately made exhaust vs a brand name exhaust. Thanks in advance!!

I can see reflections/bubbles up close... but from a few steps back... its looks ok.
My friend came over to check out my car, and he told that he was the issue with his new Nissan Maxima.

My question... Is this normal? For the Brilliant Black to have reflections/bubbles up close?

Your thoughts would be highly appreciated.

Just finished a full conversion to 2010 LED taillights on an 09 S5. We developed a process to get the lights to operate as 2010 with NO faults or warnings. Better yet all the lights work perfectly as the 2010 USA models. If anyone is interested in having them installed, or has installed these lights already and is interested in getting them work properly email me: ben@bbctechnik.com. We can not only get them to light up properly, but also get that annoying bulb warning light off. This service is also available for A4/B8 vehicles. I perform installs in SoCal, but depending on the feedback, I may offer kits.

***Avoid*** Valenti Motors - Watertown, CT

Hello all,

I am not a regular poster on this...

Hello all,

I am not a regular poster on this site. I prefer to do more of my time driving then talking about cars. Let me give you some background information to my problem with Valenti Motors in Watertown, CT. Sorry for the length of the post.

I purchased a Black 2009 Audi TTS Prestige in September of 2009 from Danbury Audi in Danbury, CT. I chose Danbury because of past poor experiences with Valenti and due to a lower cost vehicle. I recently passed 5,000 miles and inquired about my 5,000 mile service. I contacted Danbury Audi and learned that the service takes approximately 2 hours. Given that Danbury Audi is about an hour away, I simply could not find an available time to make it to Danbury Audi for the service. My only available service location was Valenti due to their proximity to my work.

I dropped the car off on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at approximately 10:30 a.m. I retrieved my car later on in the day at approximately 4:00 p.m. When I arrived, my car was parked in the shade and appeared to be looking fine. Later on that evening while getting gas, I noticed what appeared to be dry wax that wasn’t wiped off. However, it was not wax. There were scratches, thousands of them, all over the clear coat of the car. I immediately called Valenti only to get the service department’s voicemail. I left a message hoping for an easy resolution.. Today, I had yet to hear from Valenti, so I placed another call to them. I was referred to a service manager by the name of Lou Hart. We set up an appointment for later on in the afternoon.

I arrived at Valenti and met with Lou Hart. I showed him my areas of concern (the numerous scratches in the clear coat of the car). He said that the scratches must have been there before hand and they simply weren’t seen because there was wax on the car previously. He said a wax job would take care of the scratches. He admitted his service department did a lousy job of getting the dirt off the car, yet he said they couldn’t possibly be from their service department because they use top of the line chamois to dry the car. I informed him that it wouldn’t make a difference what kind of drying cloth they used on the car if they didn’t eliminate the dirt and road gunk from the cars surface. He simply scoffed at this notion and said there was nothing they can do, because they didn’t cause the scratches.

Unfortunately, this hasn’t been my first poor experience with Valenti Audi. On my previous car, a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T, they failed to do a brake job that I had paid for. They also failed to describe the limitations for their iPod connection after I made it clear that I was expecting it to be able to change songs directly from the iPod. They refused to refund me the $300 or so it cost for the connection even though I hadn’t even left the lot when I voiced my initial complaint about the ineptitude of the iPod connection.

I have gone ahead and contacted Audi of America. They are looking into the situation. In the mean time, my best advice would be to avoid Valenti VW, Valenti Audi, Valenti Saab, and Valenti Lotus. They obviously do not care about treating their customers with class and concern. If anyone would like any more information, I would be glad to discuss this with you in even more depth.

I picked up my 2010 Audi A5 2.0T on November 2,...

I picked up my 2010 Audi A5 2.0T on November 2, 2009, and I just love this car. My previous Audi - 2001 A6 2.7T - was a great car, but the A5 is so much better in just about every aspect. I guess nine years of automotive technology improvements make a ton of difference.

I drove from upstate New York to Suffolk, VA today and every single mile was just a blast. Here is a Google Maps link to my journey.

The seats were comfortable for the whole journey, the Bang & Olufsen system was fantastic, and the whole driver’s seat was just a nice place to be in for eight hours. I especially loved how the satellite navigation system alerted me, "Attention. Your route has been changed due to current traffic conditions." I got around the DC area with pretty much zero traffic.

Another nice surprise was fuel economy. I managed to drive first 416.8 miles with just 12.273 gallons of gas - that's almost 34 MPG! I could have made the entire trip (~500 miles) in one tank, but I had to pull over for some food. When I did the same journey last month with my A6, I averaged 22 MPG. As you can see from my MPG numbers, I'm a pretty laid back driver, which is why I chose the 2.0T over the 3.2 V6. I guess I could have gotten an even higher fuel economy if I had opted for a standard transmission. I spent a long time thinking about what I would like better, but in the end, I decided to get tiptronic.

Lastly, I got a thumbs up from this guy driving a CLS around Frederick, MD. :)

Here are some pictures I took. The first one is on my driveway, the next two are at Sheldrake Point Vineyard, and the last one is in my garage.

I guess there really isn't much of a point to this thread, other than to say that I love my new car! :)

I like both cars and price is close. A fully loaded 2010 S5 with most options is MSRP at 63k and the
BMW M3 is 71k.

The thing is that even though the S5 has been out for 2 years, Audi dealers are unwilling to cut deals on the cars even in a bad economy. BMW dealers will gladly knock off a few grand from new M3.

Any tips on what Audi dealers in Los Angeles and Orange County would discount a new S5? If I can get a deal on a new S5 it would be my choice for less money and decent performance.
