2007 NORTHEAST AUDI FALL MOUNTAIN TREK - UPDATED INFO as of 9-17-07

2007 NORTHEAST AUDI FALL MOUNTAIN TREK
From 2000-2003 the Northeast Audi Event was the premier Audi exclusive event in the eastern U.S. The format was the now well-known tuner-enthusiast meet/show. After 2003, however, the organizers of that event disbanded for a number of reasons. The event faded into memory. Newer Audi owners probably don't even know that this show existed at a time that Waterfest was really just a VW show.
Today, with the show circuit full from spring through fall with immense shows like Waterfest and H2O International, and the track circuit covered by ACNA, the resurrection of the Northeast Events will focus on enthusiast driving events over some of the most scenic and exciting driving roads in the Northeast U.S. Unlike other events, the Northeast series of events will maintain its tradition and remain AUDI ONLY for the distinct atmosphere and feel this provides. The first of the events is the 2007 Northeast Audi fall Mountain Trek!!
DATE: Sunday October 14, 2007
DEPARTURE TIME: 8:15AM SHARP!!! We want an early departure to maximize the chance of empty driving roads!!!
DEPARTURE LOCATION: HOLYOKE MALL, HOLYOKE, MA. Ground Level Parking Area outside JC PENNY
We welcome all Audi driving enthusiasts to participate in this resurrected autumn event. The 110 mile drive up will start in Holyoke , MA, in the foothills of the Berkshires. We will cruise north by highway for a short while before ducking onto classic country roads. And I do mean country....real outhouse and sex-with-your-cousin territory!!!! You won't get a cell phone signal and the roads are killer!!
Once off the highway, we will begin our spirited run through 90+ miles of unrelenting twists and turns on some of the most epic and scenic driving roads in the Northeast.
Our final destination will be Stratton Mountain Ski Resort Village where we will meet, greet, eat, etc.
There will be an informal run back following a different route for those wishing to travel back in a pack, but basically, people are free to go their own seperate ways.
This is a very enjoyable event either alone or with friends or with your significant other. We encourage everyone to attend. AUDIWORLD will be along for full event coverage!!!

DIRECTIONS TO STARTING POINT:
FROM EAST & WEST:
I-90 to exit 4 to I-91 North. Once on I-91 North, stay in the right lane. Exit almost immediately at exit 15. Right at exit ramp. Go about 500 ft. then fork right just before the next traffic light. Next, at the second light turn right onto the Holyoke Mall road. Take an immediate left into the ground level parking lot next to JC Penny.
FROM NORTH:
I-91 south to exit 15. Turn left at light at the exit ramp. Next, fork right just before second traffic light. Next, at the second light veer right onto the Holyoke Mall road. Take an immediate left into the ground level parking lot next to JC Penny.
FROM SOUTH:
I-91 north to exit 15, then follow directions same as from East/West
LODGING:
Lodging for those wishing to come up the night before is available at the HILTON HOMEWOOD SUITES Hotel which is less than ¼ mile from the meeting point. 375 Whitney Ave, Holyoke MA. 413-532-3150.
