Default CT/NY Audi Group Winter Meet & Dyno Day - Jan 24th - Wethersfield, CT

1/24/04
CT/NY Audi Group Winter Meet & Dyno Day
XXTuning - Wethersfield, CT

<b><font color="green">This Audi event/gathering is open to anyone and everyone who would like to attend. (Please sign up below if you will be attending). The Dyno will only be for Audis during this event, which must be arranged in advance.</font></b>

9AM-5PM* - CT/NY Audi Group Dyno Day (*or as early or as late as the last car is dyno'd)
11AM-3PM - CT/NY Audi Group Meet - core hours

On Saturday, January 24th, the CT/NY Audi Group will have a Winter Meet at <a href="http://www.xxtuning.com" target="_blank">XXTuning</a> in Wethersfield, CT (just South of Hartford). It will be a day filled with a nice winter gathering oogling over each others' latest car/modifications, seeing old friends and meeting new ones. There's sufficient space for many people (40+?) to hang out indoors, however I'm sure a lot will be outside, so be sure to dress appropriately. In addtion to that, a main highlight of the event is that XXTuning will be holding an all Audi Dyno Day just for us. Please check out the <a href="http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/" target="_blank">XXTuning Audi Dyno Day Website</a> that Al@XXTuning has set up for this.

Early interest has shown that the dyno will be very busy, and thus the dynoing will begin at 9AM, and likely go through the entire day. For those that are not dynoing, I am going to suggest that the core gathering hours will be 11AM-3PM. Feel free to show up anytime during the day, but these hours will serve to maximize the number of attendees there at any one time.

If you want to dyno, you need to contact <a href="mailto:Al@XXTuning.com">Al@XXTuning.com</a>. There are already a number of people that have said they are interested. There will be approximately 15 cars dyno'd, with a Waiting List after those are full. <b><font color="red">To secure a spot on the dyno, a $20 deposit (or full payment) must be made (cash/check/money order) to Al @ XXTuning.</font></b> The dyno day reduced rates are listed on the Audi Dyno Day website linked above. Most people will probably fall into the category of the $70 Standard Session (or $75 for Standard Session w/ Wideband O2 readings). If you plan on making any changes ("tuning") to your car while dynoing (changing ECUs, adjusting MBCs, etc), you'll need to sign up for the Hourly/Selftune session. Be sure to let Al know which you will desire, so he can schedule the time accordingly.

<u>DYNO SPOTS / WAITING LIST</u>
There are currently a list of people signed up on the Dyno Day website linked above. Those people will be given 2 weeks (until 1/6/04) to get in their $20 deposit (or full payment) to secure their spots. In the meantime, a Waiting List will be added (on that same site) for others that are interested. On (approx) 1/7/04, any spots which have not sent in payment will be opened up to those on the Waiting List, in order.

Rain, snow, or shine - If Quattro can get you there safely, this event will take place )

If you are planning to attend (regardless if you are dynoing), please help us get a feel for the attendance by adding yourself to the:

BONUS:
<a href="http://www.northerneuropeanautomotive.com" target="_blank">Northern European Automotive (NEA)</a> has arranged with XXTuning to be present at the event as well. They plan to bring <a href="http://www.northerneuropeanautomotive.com/project.html" target="_blank">their A4</a> (<a href="http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/" target="_blank">my old A4</a>) with them and put it on the dyno. It will likely rival for the highest HP of the day, as their previous setup yielded 378wHP - but they've changed things around since. It won't surprise me at all if it has more power than my current Stg3 S4. Nonetheless, another attraction added to the event.

I've updated the CT/NY Website as well as the post above with this new info. From now on, please check here on the <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/events/" target="_blank">Events Forum</a> for the latest updates.

Default 1/5/04 UPDATES: More signed up, Waiting list created, Deposits received, Order of events

This is the 3rd major posting on this event. All major posts will be here within this thread so track it if you desire. The previous two (which you should read if you haven't) are:
#1 - <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/events/msgs/6170.phtml" target="_blank">CT/NY Audi Group Winter Meet &amp; Dyno Day - Jan 24th - Wethersfield, CT</a>
#2 - <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/events/6172.phtml" target="_blank">12/23/03 UPDATES: 1.) NEA will be at the event. 2.) Secure Dyno Spots &amp; Wait List</a>

Likewise, check the Dyno Day website as it is continuously being updated with the attendees, waiting list, deposits, etc:
<a href="http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/" target="_blank">http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/</a>

<u>MORE SIGNED UP</u>
The list has now been extended to 15 cars. Also, some people previously signed up have indicated that they won't be able to make it, and thus their spots have also been given to others. So now there are about 5 new people/cars on the list. Check the website above for a listing of those signed up.

<u>WAITING LIST CREATED</u>
Due to the large interest in the event, a waiting list has been created on the website. If deposits aren't received from people in the primary group, the waiting list people will be given those spots. There's also a good chance that people on the waiting list will be able to dyno as time allows. Therefore, it is highly suggested that those on the waiting list show up for the event and are ready to dyno if time allows after the signed-up group has finished. Check the website above for a listing of those on the waiting list.

<u>DEPOSITS RECEIVED</u>
Some deposits have been received and those people have secured their dyno time. As indicated earlier, if you were one of the originals on the "signed up list", your deposit is due by tomorrow (1/6). If not received, your space is liable to be given up to someone on the waiting list. If you have already sent in your deposit, are sending it today/tomorrow, or for whatever other reason want to request that we don't give away your spot, please email us ASAP. Check the website above for a listing of those whose deposits have been received.

<u>ORDER OF EVENTS</u>
The dyno day will begin at 9AM. If you are dynoing (or on the waiting list), when you arrive you will put your name on the day's attendance list. You will dyno in the order you arrive (sign up) at the event. When all of the secured dyno-ers are done, people from the wait list will be dyno'd in order as they arrived. If there's any time during the day when there's no primary dyno-er ready to dyno, then a waitlist person may inserted to keep the flow on the dyno efficient. The CT/NY Audi Group Meet will take place throughout the day, but as stated before, I suggest 11AM-3PM as the core hours so the majority are there during this time.

If you are planning to attend this Audi Meet (regardless if you are dynoing), please help us get a feel for the attendance by adding yourself to the:

<u>PICTURES</u>
And because we all love pictures, here's two pictures from the European Car 1.8T Challenge, where XXTuning provided the dyno for the event:

It's an "Audi Meet", so of course not! ) The dynoing is just an additional attraction

Default I see it as happening, but on an informal basis, based on who shows up...

who you met that you want to hang out with or who you met that you don't ;-)

Default 1/13/04 UPDATES: Come for the gathering, Dyno list almost finalized

This is the 4th major posting on this event. All major posts will be here within this thread so track it if you desire. The previous three (which you should read if you haven't) are:
#1 - <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/events/msgs/6170.phtml" target="_blank">CT/NY Audi Group Winter Meet &amp; Dyno Day - Jan 24th - Wethersfield, CT</a>

#3 - <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/events/msgs/6183.phtml" target="_blank">1/5/04 UPDATES: More signed up, Waiting list created, Deposits received, Order of events</a>

<a href="http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/" target="_blank">http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/</a>

<u>COME FOR THE GATHERING</u>
Being that there's a dyno day happening as well, there's been a lot written by me regarding arrangements for the dyno - but don't forget that this is an Audi Get Together. If you have no interest in the dynoing, great - come meet fellow enthusiasts and just hang out for the afternoon. The event is open to all, so don't hesitate in showing up even if you don't know anyone. This is how the rest of us likely got started

<u>DYNO LIST ALMOST FINALIZED</u>
Be sure to check the site for the latest updates:
<a href="http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/" target="_blank">http://www.xxtuning.com/dynoday/</a>

As soon as all deposits are in, the list will be final. Here's how it stands right now. I've organized the cars by models, A4s / TT / S4s, and then somewhat by engine/power/stages within each. Sure looks very interesting!
