I just recently got back from my European Delivery experience, and finally have all of my pics posted online (although I haven't had time to add captions or descriptions yet).
I flew into Munich on the moring of Sunday Sept 30th, and the Kempinski was a great option. It was nice to be able to check in right after my arrival and to get in a quick shower and change of clothes after the long flight. After that it was straight to Oktoberfest, although since I was scheduled to take delivery the following morning I wasn't able to partake in the festivities quite as much as would have liked.
The driver picked me up from the hotel in the morning to take me up to the Audi Forum, and from there it was breakfast, followed by a personal one-on-one guided tour of the museum, then a tour of the factory, a lunch break, and then finally the actual delivery. The delivery process was quite smooth, and the only thing I could possibly think to change would be if Audi could perhaps provide the various vingettes for travel into Austria or Switzerland there at the Forum. That's really a minor quibble though, since it's quite painless to get them on the road. Still, they provide the saftey equipment, so going one step further would be a nice touch.
I finshed up around 4PM or so, and from Ingolstadt it was off to Salzburg, followed by Prague, Cologne (with excursions to Spa-Francorchamps and a lap at the Nurburgring), Zurich, and then back to Munich to drop the car off on Friday the 12th before flying out on Sunday the 14th.
Now the painful wait begins...

http://picasaweb.google.com/ebusch</a

My hotel had a secure underground parking garage...
so I really didn't have to take any special precautions. It helped that I wasn't planning to use the car at all once I got there, and instead traveled exclusively by foot or metro.

I honestly don't know what that car was...
I remember at the time thinking it was a little odd for a car to be all decaled up like that, but I didn't really think to to take a good shot of it, and then once they called my name to come down for delivery I never gave it a second glance.
