Kimchee, post some data from your paint meter concerning the amount, if any,

i have played with mine quite a bit and ...
you'd be surprised how little impact polishing has. generally, the effect is so small that it's difficult to measure, even with strong polishes.

Meem is correct. We had a 1999 Andorra Red come in on saturday and
it had never been molested by a machine. Stock paint depth was on the average 7.5 thousands/mills.
The 2005.5 S4... on the average 4.5 thousands/mills.
In all cases, the paint is heavier on the rear quarter panels, lighter on the doors. It's negligible how much a random orbital takes down even with 3M heavy duty compound or menzerna power gloss compound. We measured about a 0.03 thous/mills of a cut.
I didn't bust out the rotary this weekend.. will have to wait until next week... a couple black suvs and cars coming through.
I'll post graphs and such.

Consider the Dewalt 849 for the rotary as well consider adding the Dewalt 443..
The Mikita or the dewalt would be great, the Dewalt 443 is a nice in between machine from the rotary and the PC.
The dewalt 443 has less vibration and is a much better machine than the PC however the PC is much more versatile. Take a look all your pads will work with the Dewalt 443 from your PC.
Its a great machine, its just limited if you need to spot clean interiors with a machine.
Anyway just my 2 cents...
