I waxed my car last weekend using T-Cut Red wax by CarPlan. It looked good in the shade but when the car is in the sun the paint is full of swirls and the paint almost looks like turtle shell (lots of patchy shades of red).

Has any one else used this stuff?

What is the best way to remove these swirls? The T-Cut was supposed to do this and cover over small scratches but it's only made things worse.

A wax isn't properly suited for the job. This 3M product was designed to remove and/or hide the appearance of swirl marks. There are others on the market, too, but this one comes highly recommended.

On additional point....you will have to apply a coat of wax after using the glaze.

Some parts of my paintwork are starting to turn a slight dull pink. After waxing it , the colour (Laser Red) returns but doesn't last much more than 5-6 weeks before it starts to dull again.

I want a wax that will 'seal' the paint so that it doesn't dull so quick.

Also what is the best cloth to apply / buff the 3M stuff and the wax afterwards?

I converted to One Grand's Blitz wax a couple years ago after hearing about it here at AW (then A4.org). I've used it ever since. It shines up well, but it also lasts a helluva long time (I live in the Northeast and do my final wax before winter in October. Come April, water is still beading beautifully - I call that good perfomance)I'm no pro, but it sounds like your paint is showing a lot of oxidation. I'd strip what wax is on there...I might use a clay bar too, if the finish warrants it...and then I'd use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze, or One Grand's Omega Glaze (my personal choice), really working it into the paint, followed by Blitz. That may well put an end to the "pink". As for what cloths to use, any soft 100% cotton material will do. If you don't have anything on hand, any auto supply store will have detailing cloths. I use cloths that are like a soft t-shirt material for wax removal and initial buff, followed by very soft cotton flannel cloths for the final buff. Good luck!

P.S. Blitz wax isn't available in any stores near me, so I get it online. Three sources immediately come to mind: carcareonline.com, autosupermart.com, and onegrand.com.
