Default The Big Blue Towel is Awesome!

Today is the first time I have ever used one, in the past it has always been cotton terry towels. It dried my Brilliant Black perfectly, no lint, no streaks and with only one pass it absorbed all the water. Plus it is so soft, I believe now... But microfibertech.com is expensive, is all big blues the same? They look like it. Any other sites that might be cheaper?

Default They are all more or less the same...

you can even pick up a similar towel from your local Bed Bath and Beyond (under the Aquis brand name) for about $20. BBnB frequently sends out 20% off coupons that you can apply towards this. The only problem...the Aquis towel ain't blue! :-P

Default I just posted a study on Big Blue vs. The Absorber on another site...

here it is for your reference:

I did an experiment where I took both products and soaked them for a sufficient amount of time, fully immersed in water. Then, I hung each product to drip dry for about 5 minutes and lightly shook, until no more drips were coming off the products. Then I weighed them both and subtracted the original "dry" weight from the final "wet" weight. Here are the results:

DRY weight
The Absorber - 6.2 ounces
Big Blue - 7.7 ounces

WET weight
The Absorber - 13.70 ounces
Big Blue - 35.50 ounces

Weight of water absorbed:
The Absorber - 8.4 ounces
Big Blue - 27.80 ounces

"Absorbtion factor"
The Absorber - 1.35x absorbency by weight
Big Blue - 3.61x absorbency by weight

If you do the math - the Big Blue towel absorbed OVER ONE LITER of water!!! Case closed.

SportsCarCare.com - Big Blue Drying towel < $18

Default Winnar! I have both the absorber and big blue...lets just say once I got the big blue I never used

the absorber again. I liked big blue so much that I bought two.

Anyone want a free absorber?

As for RKA's comment they are not all the same and a big blue towel from sportscarcare.com is only $18....sounds like a steal to me.

Default "Original Big Blue" Heavy Duty Waffle Weave 25 x 36 $15.95

for one or 28.95 for two from Vapor Clean Products. I have the Aquis waffle hair towel from BB&B, so I don't know if this Big Blue is the same as the others or not. But I have ordered other MF towels from Vapor Clean and I am very happy with their price and quality.

Default Great price!!!...

If all you need is a towel, that's a great price! But if you need more than just a towel, why pay for shipping twice?

That is a great find, though, if the towel is the same!

Still a few out there that use The Absorber. You're one of a dying breed though!
