Digital camera recommendations?
Today is my wedding anniversary and I'm looking to buy Dawn a new digital camera. She complains every single time she has to use our current one because it is too complicated.
So, I want a very small (like fits in a purse), very high quality, very easy to use point and click camera. Cost is not really an issue but I need to go buy one this afternoon.

Canon Powershot SD600 or SD630...
They always seem to receive great reviews. I have an older SD400 and it works great.<ul><li><a href="http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid= 113">Canon Digital</a></li></ul>

If you belong to Costco or Sam's club, buy...
...whatever looks good to you from their stock. Why? Because of their *liberal* return policy which essentially allows you to return the thing for any reason, at just about any time, including after the warranty has expired.
I speak from personal experience on this one.
Canons are nice - I had one - until it broke. I replaced it with a Casio Exilim EX-Z750, which broke, too, but Costco replaced it, no questions asked.

One more thing: More and more mfrs. are realizing how important a LARGE LCD screen...

...is to the user-friendliness of the camera.
1.5" used to be "normal" on an ultracompact camera, but my Casio (7.2MP) has a 2.5" LCD, and there are some out there now with 3" or even bigger. That was a big reason I bought the Casio, because the competing Canon models (SD-400 and SD-500 at the time) only had 2".

I bought this one.....
I was going to buy the one Mark recommended but Must Buy didn't have it in stock so I grabbed the Sony.
I like the fact that it is point and shoot, rapid fire, uber small but has a big screen, and I was out the door for $250.
Good enough. I may actually get around to taking some pictures of the p-car.<ul><li><a href="http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_Cyber_Shot_DSC_W50/4505-6501_7-31703591.html?tag=pdtl-img&ar=o">Sony DSC-W50</a></li></ul>
