Give it a shot before you take judgment. I can't believe some of the threads I've been reading in various forums <shaking head>. Grow up people!

I are scurred.

Honestly, this vb is horrible. Not because I dont like vb, in fact it is quite the contrary. I love vb/php, but this format and set up is kinda gay. I dont like it at all by comparison to all of the other forums I visit.

I have to agree with you on that. The only thing is that I was using AW much more like a chat room or a news feed and not a forum. Now it's just another classic forum.

Unless there's a setting I have not seen, you actually need to open up the thread to read the one liner replies.

I was enjoying reading the 1st page and I could tell at a glance what was happening, now I have to put work into it.

Again, not being negative but just stating my observation. This may, in the long run, take me away from the forum and I may be spending my time elsewhere on the net (or actually doing some work! ;-) )

Time will tell.

And you are absolutly right - Change is hard.

Default I'm looking for the one liner answers also....

And you can't do that, need to put some crap in the message box to post.

The thing is that you have to find the original thread, which could anywhere depends on when someone replied, then you have to open it, and then you have to find the last post that maybe on page 3... way too complicated!

I noticed also that we have, I guess based on number of posts, a category of membership. I'm a senior member, Tanner is an elder... I wonder how that works.

Looks like it goes off total post count, nothing to do with sign up date.

My biggest beef is the layout: it's really difficult to separate each post header from the posted content.

Even Whoretex and the teens over at AZ (!!!) got this right--the name/date header is confined to the left. It's much more compact and easier to read.

My brain hurts looking at this layout.

By the way, the one-liner post is still here. It's at the BOTTOM of the page in the "post message" quick reply box. No subject needed.
