Default What's the difference between a $35 HID bulb and a $200 HID bulb?

I'm looking on Ebay for some new D2S bulbs but there seems to be quite a price difference between some of them.

There's a brand new set from retrofit solutions for $35 (no brand name)and then there's a Phillips version D2S bulb for $190? Is it only the brand name that makes that much of a difference?

Default Osram/Philips generally last much longer than aftermarket ones. Search more...

the price of set of brand new Philips/Osram D2S bulbs should be less than $100 on ebay.
