Ever shopped at Home De$pot?
They've built an industry on folks that "charge themselves out" at $0/hour....and less. A few of the Tradespeople I know make a fortune fixing stuff that people have installed because _somebody_ has told them "You can do it....we can help"....and that 10 second job that the Plumber could have done turns into a few hours of fretting over a leaky solder joint, a non-functioning tap, 2 trips to Home Despot to find out that the guy in plumbing forgot to tell you to take out the plastic internals of the tap before putting the torch on it (and ruining it).
...and yes, I have to admit that I have never figured out the gas burned while I drove to fill the car in advance of a price hike, but I also drive to the closest Sunoco for Ultra 94 (or the closest station period for the other non-turbo cars)

Never ever line up for gas, seen too many minor car accidents because of people fighting for spots.
don't want to be a victim.
I just go to full service.
