Default Put 19's on 2001 A6 2.8. Now needs to be lowered

Not going for the slammed look, just want to lower the car for teh sake of it sitting right with 19's.dont care abotu handling or anything else. just pure cosmetics. want to sacrifice ride heigh as little as possible.

the car rides fine with teh stock suspensions and the 19's on. so now how do I get it lowered without feeling like an 18 yr old in woodbridge in a lowered civic and bottoming out or feeling every abnormality in the road?

would rather not spend like 2k to do this. is there a spring that would drop teh car liek a n inch or so but is still soft and not to firm?

Get some H&R springs? thats my best guess other than going with a cheap set of coilovers.

How would the ride be? I am assuming there is different ones with different characteristics.

Default I've never done only springs...

but I would assume you could get a spring that would have relatively the same ride quality only lower. Coilovers will most likely be a little stiffer in the ride. Kind of like Meegis

Default Eibach Pro Kit

I was in the same boat and the Eibach's seem to have the least aggressive drop in ride height. The H&Rs will cause the car to sit slightly lower (at least on the B6).

You should also replace the shocks as the OEM shocks aren't mated to the aftermarket spring and handling may not be completely predictable.

Springs will run you $250. Shocks around $600.
