Keep telling yourself that
And maybe possibly if you believe it enough, I mean really really believe it and say if enough times the rest of the country will stop thinking of Montreal Canadians and Riots in the same sentence.
I'm sad to say the city has yet another black eye. I've been to Montreal several times, but this convinced me that my travel dollars are better spent in other cities.

Habit of winning?
What exactly did you win last night that warranted the riot?
Christ Leaf fans get criticized for "planning the parade" whenever we win a big game.
I think it was taken a step further last night. But it was the work of anarchists right? And the government is out to get Montreal and it's all a big conspiracy etc. etc. etc. Keep the excuses coming.

First of all, you're not going to goad me into the whole "cup envy" thing...trust me,
I've heard it all, and I don't need you to help me be all over the Leafs for their crap.
Second of all, Toronto has had recent professional sports success..93 and 94 World Series. We can argue about the importance of baseball..etc. etc., but the fact is that, at that time, the city was enveloped in the euphoria of the Jays' success....and neither the real fans, nor the bad folks came out to riot over a win.
And, FWIW, we should have reserved the right to burn down all of Brantford for that '94 (or '93 memory is going) non-call with Gretz and Frasier....BUT WE DIDN'T.
