I'm curious to see how this plays out in the courts.

Default Your STi is not a cop detector. I'd imagine weaving, "stunt" driving, and 50km/h+ PSL are...

all charges a cop can lay on you without ever turning on a radar or LIDAR gun.

OPP, Metro, and York are getting smarter, too: Lots more I/O, not so much lazyman's C/O anymore.

Default Realistically, most people are concerned about the new death sentence for speeding, not the ricing

And it's gonna be awful tough for a cop to conclusively prove 50-over without some measurement tool. I can't imagine pacing being very effective in this case.

Of course, the proof is only for the courts, which doesn't much matter when you're getting your car impounded by an over-zealous cop who thought you looked like you were 50 over...

Default I'm not worried about weaving or dangerous driving

Just about getting pegged at 50+ over. I try to not drive like an ******* with other traffic around. It's easy to crack that 50+ over on the 80k back roads though. My usual terminal speed on a pass on an 80k road is north of 140.

Detector is certainly not a guarantee of safety, but everything helps. Wish I had one.

That's right, been there, done that! STI has been great though.

has nothing to do with public safety - just one more cash grab for police and impounds
