Default My dad is looking for a used car... has to be domestic 4 door...any recommendations?
His 89 Buick Park Avenue is costing way too much to keep going.

He is not a "car guy" at all and is just looking for a medium to large size domestic (GM preferred) four door.

He wants to spend $6-$9k.
I have been telling him to enjoy life a little and pick up a nice car but he just wants transportation.... traditional 74 year old Italian man... need I say more.

Been looking into 2001/2002 Malibu, Impala or Buick?

Default Buick Regal or the Impala would be the best bet--(from the "Schwa" ; )
Otherwise, I would have suggested japanese...

...I'm also Italian and work for a GM dealership on the weekends. The old Italians love they're Buicks. Comfy ride with comfy seats.

Bruno, why not a Camry or Accord? It'll be hard to convince him, but he'll like it after.
