I hear my pump, but the headlight washers aren't popping up... any ideas???

note:
I bought the car used; are the actual nozzles an option that I may not have? When the lights are on, I can hear the aux. pump run like it should be pumping water though, so I've been assuming that I have them... any info would be appreciated

Re: note:
If you have the headlight wiper covers on the bumper in front of the headlights yes you have that option.
I also assume that your windshield is being blasted by fluid and there's no leaks underneath as you try and use the headlight washers.

Check these
Make sure your hoses are all connected. When you press the washer and hear the pump is there a big puddle of washerfluid a. under the reservoir or b. under each headlight cover?
If these doesnt help, take off the hose to the headlight pump and use an air compressor on it (fitting you would use to blow up an air mattress) and see if the sprayers pop up. if they do, you may have a blocked hose or ****ed pump.

another note - check your washer fluid level? - this is what I found out..
If my washer fluid is low on my A4 1.8QTMS, then the headlamp washers do not operate - only reason to guess is that it's a built in design by Audi to conserve the fluid so it can be used on your windsheild where it counts!
