Knowing HPA they probably did their homework to make sure that the first gear didn't grenade on them
Weakest link in the transmission - Borgwarner (or Nissan) could have used a bigger cog to withstand the punishment. Aftermarket company in Australia that makes a meatier first gear that can hold up.

Trying to sign my mom up :)
She has a 3.2 A3 that would greatly benefit from their Stage 2 service... I just have to make her realize that.
Unfortunately that's the day my fiancee has surgery so I can't take the car in myself. As a result, I doubt it will happen. She's a gearhead but not super comfortable with mods.
