Default greetings from chicago

i'm in montreal right now staying at a hotel in the downtown area i guess, near McGill University? beautiful town. i really like it a lot, and i dont say that about many cities.

anyways, where can i get a drink around here. i realise it is during the week but hey i'm on vacation. i saw some clubs but that's not really my thing. any bars/pubs nearby?

thanks!

Forget Crescent, head to St Laurent, start north of Sherbrooke. It's a little east of where you are.

Rue St. Denis is also a good scene for a quick drink and people watching.

Default 2nd. Anything to get away from the tourist chaos that is Crescent and St Catherine.

St Denis and St Laurent are east of the downtown core, much more cultural and down-to-earth.

I like McGibbons Irish pub which is located downtown next to Concordia University.
