Default Annoyance OT: Anyone know how to stop that car warranty scam?

I'm on the do not call. They're calling a cell phone.

They call 3x a day, and leave voicemails every second or third time.

The numbers are all defunct the second the call is made.

Shouldn't someone, somewhere be stopping this?

Default No.

They come from out of Canada... hence, the do not call list is out of jurisdiction.

If you wait, press 3 (its usually the option) and that should stop if it for abit.

Ive been getting them too, but they often stop for a while after getting option 3.

As for the do not call list, it was in the enws that the list can be sold to ANYONE outside of the jurisdiction for a fee of $50.

I never put my name on it, I feel bad for anyone who did.

Default Yes I was kidding. I hate those calls. BMW called personally to talk about it

No call from Audi yet about our cars.

I guess BMW figures their owners are dumb and need to hold their hands! They aren't far off

Give your number out to everyone else and hope they get a busy tone the next time they call!
