mine's 07 and it has 50k on the car now... I've been chipped since the car is around 5k km..
I think for the 08 they have new design cam follower and that's what they replaced in my car now.
my dealer did it for me of course, Owasco.

Was talking with Neil, maybe it was your car that he was referring to
07 and 50K. I wonder what mine looks like being an early 2006 model and close to 80,000km.
I don't think chipping or not has any impact on how quickly this part wears out. It's just spinning away knocking on the fuel pump and wearing out over time. I suppose if you're happy-go-lucky-with-the-engine-speed then it'll wear out quicker than somebody babying the engine it's entire life.
