I don't drive beaters as our winter is just too long. Might as well drive a beater all year round.

Bimmer owners who brag about snow tires are ok are full of SHXT.
Rear wheel is just not safe for Toronto's winter, period.
Heavier cars may be ok, but still not ideal.

I was in my E46 with a set of BRAND NEW winter tires, with my son in the back seat, in a snow storm, and struggled to go uphill. I was terrified and also determined NO MORE RWD for me.

The handling of the E46 (with M package) definintely has an edge because of stiffer suspension and weight.
But the styling of the audi's are unparallel.
