Default Up close and personal with the R8...and some other hotties =)

This Saturday must have been the unanomous GTA "take out all your nice rides day", because I don't think I have ever seen so many rediculous cars on the road (aside from meets of course).

I was downtown on bay/bloor, and what was parked on the side of the road with no less than a small crowd of people snapping shots? That's right, the Audi R8. In the flesh.

I believe Pfaff was doing a demo day or something and decided to model the cars downtown. Yes I said carS, b/c the R8 brought along some friends as well.

Here are some quick pics from my camera phone:

Yes, there was also the RS4, S8, and S6. Beautiful.
And then just after this, an orange P'car GT3 RS and a silver 997 Turbo fly by. It was a little too much excitement for me in one day.

Then my buddy calls me to tell me that he just saw the Mclaren SLR 722 edition and some Gallardo's a couple more blocks down. What a friggin CRAZY day!

Default Am I showing my age when I say that of the four...

I'd take the S8? The R8 would attract way too much attention, the RS4 is just too small for me, and the S8 would win by a slim margin over the S6.

Koz.

Default Love that color combo on the R8..

OT Price difference on a 2.0 TT US vs Cdn same options before tax $18700.00, approx 42%!!!(from the Audi websites)
With such a HUGE extra profit margin, I would HOPE Audi would fall over themselves satisfying Canadian demand before even considering US customers. Any comments afretes??

Default Good ol' Toronto, land of the eternal parking ticket

You gotta wonder what the smartass meter maid who wrote that one was thinking.

I might just be bitter about the last three tickets I've gotten in town, two of which were incorrect. Kind of hard to justify fighting a $20 ticket when you live 120km away.
