Default if that's true I stand corrected

The rotors I personally have seen on street oriented kits had different rotors, however I have not seen a Brembo GT kit recently. There are also companies who sell Brembo "kits" with Brembo calipers with different rotors.

As for your previous post regarding the floating capability of our kits, we have proper amounts of radial and axial float designed into the system. Your kits are not unique in this regard.

Cheers,

Ted

Default It is absolutely true =D

The entire Brembo Gran Turismo program was designed with the same philosophy...

Race Performance ... OEM Quality

Every disc sold in a Brembo Gran Turismo Kit w/ 2pc. rotors comes directly from the racing division.
This has been the case since the program was developed.

AND Just for the record...

Can you explain where your "axial" or "radial" float comes from???

My understanding is that anything that restricts the ability for the discs to move freely (at any temperature), will also restrict its ability to float. I completely understand your theories for expansion, but I cannot see the possibility for float.

Too much testing has gone into the Brembo McLaren hardware design, for both bushing style & "T" bobbin style hardware, for me to easily accept that a simple Bellville lock washer will provide the same benefit.

(not trying to be disrespectful...I just think that the people reading this thread deserve to know the difference)

A "fully floating" 2pc disc...
AND
A 2pc disc that is designed to allow for proper "room for expansion"...

are still two completely different things, both offering different benefits from different functions.

"Add $100-200 for functional pads" -- do you mean track pads or are you just bashing the Axxis Ults?

Default Our float

Our axial float is based on the length of our hardware combined with the belleville washers. The radial float is achieved by slotting the rotors, just as you do.

As I mentioned before, we've run our rotors to very high temperatures in many applications without warping or cracking - our float system is effective and reliable.

I suppose your confusion just boils down to semantics

Cheers,

Ted

Default Shamelessly bashing the Axxiss Ultimates.

IMHO Axxiss Ultimates are not enough for the nose heavy S4s. Maybe they are OK for Miatas. StopTech should default to a different pad in the Audi kits.
