Default Brake Pad Warning Light

Hello...

Im an Audi virgin so bear with me if I confuse you.

The Brake Pad Wear Light has lit up on my dash. Can anyone tell me which set of pads (front or back) has the warning indicator.

Do I buy both front and back pads with the wear indicator built in.

Default Need more info--

Which model and year? Some have sensors at both front wheels, some at a front and a back, others that read the electric parking brake motor position, etc. You may want to post on the forum board for your model. Most of the model boards are more active than this one, and the other followers of that model will know it best.

Typically only the fronts. Easy to see - look for wires coming from the pads.

And to see what you need - remove the wheels nad look at the pad width.

If you don't know this, are you sure you want to repair the brakes yourself?
