Default Is their a major difference between Menzerna FMJ and

adams buttery wax. I currently have adams buttery wax and I want to put a good coat of wax on my car for the winter. I want something that will hold up through out the winter.
what kind of wax do you suggest i use?
Should i buy a PC or are they not worth it if your only going to use it 3-4 times a year?

Default FMJ is definitely much more durable. Two layers of FMJ and regular washes to keep the car clean

should last through just about any winter.

Default If you aren't going to wax again until spring, def. use a sealant.

Wax is great for protection and shine while it lasts. A synthetic will last 2-3 times as long. I don't mind waxing my car once a month so I use p21s.

A PC is a great purchase if you are serious about detailing your car. Clay and wax will do a lot for a finish but to really bring out some shine you need to machine polish.

Yes: one of them won't last a month and the other is named Menzerna.

Default Why do you want a PC?

The reason I ask is because the number of times a year you use it shouldn't dictate whether you own one. It's what you intend to accomplish.

Given the way you phrased the question, my guess is you want to use it to apply the Buttery Wax or FMJ, in which case I would say it's not worth it and largely unnecessary.

Default just wondering if it would be worth it. i hand wax my car probably about 8 times

a year and i do 2 full details a year. so basically what i'm asking is if $150 on a PC would be worth it for me? does it make waxing your car that much easier and faster. Most importantly is it a noticably better shine?

Default As I suggested, no, it doesn't do much for you if you're just using it to wax.

If you get into polishing the paint, that's where the PC can do things you're not going to accomplish by hand.

And 99% of the shine is not going to come from the wax, it's going to come from surface preparation (polishing among other things).
