(With K03) FMIC vs turboback exhaust - which one is more bang for your buck performance?

I'm going to put my money on the exhaust...

An exhaust from the cat back (of the shelf kit like APR, MagnaFlow Remus, possibly more with a custom set up) should free up a minimum of 5kw and 15Nm.
In terms of performance you should think more about straight line speed.
An aftermarket exhaust system should cut weight out of the car (thick mild steel weighs a lot more than thin wall stainless steel) improving the power to weight ratio of the vehicle.
Less weight translates into higher cornering speeds, decreased braking times and faster acceleration times.
In a custom set up you could also move the cat to the rear of the vehicle improving weight distribution and decreasing under bonnet temps...esp if you wrap/coat the down pipe.
A FMIC (and associated piping) will add weight to your vehicle especially over the front wheels...and as an Audi owner you should know there is more than enough weight out the front already.
Short answer - Full exhaust is you best bet for 'overall' performance, Front mount is your best bet is straight line speed is all you care about.
Drive Fast, Drive Safe and happy modding.

Both :)

Keeping intake temps down though is higher in my book than getting exhaust gases out. All depends on your situation, chip, mods, etc..
