I've got a B5 w/Bose, and added a subwoofer. Everything is stock except for the sub and rear deck speakers, which have a slightly lower impedance than the OEM speakers. I've tried adjusting the subwoofer amp (Alpine V12) to blend with the OEM setup, but am not happy with the sound. I realize this is not a great setup, but am not looking for anything special. I just want to get the most out of the gear I have.
I'm looking for a car audio expert to adjust the subwoofer amp to blend with the rest of the system as well as possible using the existing hardware. My main concern is equalization. There seems to be too much volume below ~70 Hz and not enough between ~100 Hz and ~800(?) Hz. I'm a bit of a home audio nut, and have used a test CD to try to set up the car audio, but don't know enough about sub amps to use all the features this amp has to offer.
So, who do I turn to for this? I just want the amp adjusted to best integrate the sub with the rest of the system.
TIA
Fun is awesome.
