Concert radio switches off after 1 hour
Hi all,
I have my '99 A4 avant 2.5 TDi Tiptronic since 4 weeks but a strange thing happens to the radio. After exactly 1 hour the Concert radio switches off automatically. I have a manual, unfortunately in Italian and my Italian is not that good. Can anyone tell me if I can turn this feature off?

You probably have the ignition signal lead messed up
If your radio turns off after 1 hour while driving then it's because your ignition lead is messed up and not providing proper signal.
The Concert radio is designed to be able to operate with your engine off, but as a safety measure so your battery doesn't drain it turns itself off after an hour. If this turning off happens while the ignition is on, it means the radio doesn't think that the car's ignition is on.
If the turn off happes while the car is off, it is normal and that is how it should work.
I hope that helps.
