Default "Latching Relays" -- Finally, some sources...

A Latching relay is useful if, for example, you want to use an Audi dash switch (which makes only momentary contact) to toggle on or off some system, like lamps, subwoofer, or the servotronic control module.

Thanks to Chris Miller of Bentley Publications:

Also (thanks to Dorian G.), one can make latching relays and other, even more complicated setups, using the Relay Application Guide PDF from David Levy Company. It can be downloaded from their website when it goes live, sometime around August 2002, www.dlcparts.com. It is also distributed to installers. Default These relays are useful for many things. My first use may be to switch out servotronic module...

...using a momentary switch identical to the ESP switch.
