Ques. re: Symphony radio & preamp outs
I'm in the process of planning my stereo. I want to keep the Symphony and replace everything else (I ordered non-Bose for this reason). I've heard of people using the Crutchfield RCA out adapter for the Concert head unit. Has anyone used this for the Symphony? Is it a direct fit? Thanks. BTW, I have an '01 S4.

If you scroll down a bit on this page, you'll see my poll where several people mention having done
just that.
I used the Blau part in my TT, though it wasn't a plug 'n play fit. The good news is that if it doesn't fit your Symphony's wiring harness perfectly, it will work with a little clean (no cut wires, etc.) modification. The "modification" is very easy and works like a dream in my car. You'll be glad you kept your Symphony unit!
Check my TT Audio site under "receiver" for more info.

Re: Ques. re: Symphony radio & preamp outs
The manual for the 01 Symphony says it has 4 line outs. Why cannot we use those? It says it can take any standard commercial amp. Is it going to sound like crAP?
