what would you do?
if you were offered an R8 at MSRP for immediate delivery but the interior and exterior color is not what you would choose nor is the transmission, would you take it or let it pass knowing that you wouldn't get another car for a year?

I think the R8 is such a personal vehicle that anything less than your preferences would be a disappointment. Owning an R8 is exclusive but owning your R8 is personal. Only you can make such a difficult decision.

I agree...will be most expensive car i've purchased...I want it to be 100% my choice this time.
with the options I want. I've had plenty of luck with my previous 4 car purchases to get what I want mostly, but not sure I will find too many available/used R8s in the combo i want when i am ready to pull the trigger...unless the person in the red car a couple posts down is selling.

alan. are you referring to the white/silver blade, gray int. with r tronic?
notwithstanding the fact that that would be a very unfavorable combo for me, i would not do it and rather wait. ESPECIALLY if the transmission is not the one you want.
