Silly question? R8 vs Gallardo
I'm an A4 owner just enjoying this R8 forum, and find myself asking why no one has spoken about a comparison between the Gallardo and R8? Where is the difference...is it understatement versus exotic car branding? Costs? To my knowledge, they have similar powerplants and quattro awd. Audi seems to have done a great job "softening" up Lamborghini line-up, whereas Lambo has brought Audi into this R8 world. Perhaps the R8 wins out in demand because it lacks the exotic car branding, and has a beautiful design that everyone has associated as futuristic in iRobot.

Chassis on the R8 is more talkative and adjustable than the Gallardo. Lacks crazy torque
and bellow of the Gallardo though.
An '06 or newer Gallardo will set you back $160K at least. Why do you want the later cars? Nose lift so you can clear driveways, "comfort" seat option for wider range of adjustments, and sturdier clutches.

Just don't forget that you need to take the car out of sport mode to lift the nose...
Spent 10 minutes looking like a idiot trying to lift the nose while blocking traffic in a near $250k car... yea that was fun. But seriously, I have driven a lot of fast cars but the gallardo se was one of the most refined yet fastest ones I have found.
