after 15 Porsches, just left deposit on R8 V10

Thinking of doing the same here
I am also thinking of swapping my 997 (only a C2 though) for a "standard" R8. I love Porsches and although I have not had 30 years of Porsches (that would mean that I bought my first at age 1!!!), I am also a Porsche fanatic through and through. After my Boxster S and now the 997, I can't think of anything so useable and performs so well. Guess there isn't any harm for us to put deposits down for the R8, and then make the decision after we test drive them.

Re: Yeah, but that flat 6 just doesn't have the brutal sound of the V10 at full song,
Nice but still with factory exhaust.
Put on a italian "Tuby Style" Exhaust and he realy growl's.

You really suck at the reading.
He was saying nothing about the way the car looked. If you think the 997tt is not a "look at me, my pens is tiny" car, then you're broken in the head. No car carries with it more of a social stigma than a 911.

My family friend got a Lambo Miura...LIME GREEN back in 1969-70, if I remember correctly. I think it was a 1968 or 69.
Looked like this.
They aren't making these new again..your getting an original?

Dude..they are mega hard to tune...
Wasn't it 6 double webers....or 4 triple webers? Lots of playing with jets..and that air flow meter to even them out. My family friend had a heap of trouble getting it tuned properly. Good luck with that part.
