So far I have not found any aftermarket brake pads for the RSQ8. Only expensive original 4M8698151/C.
Audi RS with this braking system are new and niche models and it is not profitable for most manufacturers to start the technologically complex production of brake pads for these cars. Demand is simply too low, many RS models have long-life carbon brake systems, and many owners of these cars do not bother looking for aftermarket solutions or low dust pads and simply take their cars to the dealer for service, assuming that an expensive car means also an expensive spare parts. Additionally many Audi dealers don't accept any aftermarket parts in RS models which are still on warranty.

Totally correct. EBC sold me blue stuff pads saying they would fit front RSQ8 steel brakes, and they did NOT fit. (all in $500 loss including shipping from UK).

I can't tell if these pads will fit or not. This company told me that they have built kits for RSQ8.

Does RSQ8 have carbon ceramic 440X40mm? Or, is that only Urus?

Will 440X40MM rotors fit with oem steel brakes calipers? (See the link above where they offer 440X40 steel replacement for RSQ8)

Yes, RSQ8 has 440x40mm carbon ceramic rotors. I am not sure if steel calipers are the same as for ceramic rotors.. They have slightly different part number (last letter) however the price seems to be the same. It is possible that even if the calipers look the same they can have different attachment to the brake carrier.

Does it make sense to replace steel rotors on steel rotors? This upgrade costs a lot of money + cost of shipment of heavy parts + costs of US taxes + costs of installation. This additional 20mm will not bring a big difference and you will become dependent on not OEM parts from this company. IMO not worth the costs and effort.

No, I still don't have to replace my pads. But when the time comes I will install ATE for sure. I had ATE ceramic in my previous 2 Q7s and these pads were very good. Almost no dust, no squeaking and even slightly improved braking. ATE Ceramic for front rotors of SQ8 appeared just couple of months ago. Before they offered only rear pads. In addition, ATE is a very large and reputable manufacturer of braking systems, also for the first assembly in many car brands. Their products are top quality.

All that comes up for me on ATE is the 350mm steel rotors.

ATE says they make RSQ8 pads, but when I sent to German Pacific they said no dice.

Are you guys seeing different options than these for pads and rotors?

PS, neither of the 'Front Axle' pads will work on RSQ8, even though ATE catalogue says they will...

Another issue - websites claiming various pads will fit RSQ8...

Not true
