Default Soon-to-be owner of Q8

Greetings! I am excited to be getting my 2021 Q8 soon and rejoining the Audi community (I owned a first gen TT).

In preparation, I have two questions, which have probably been asked so feel free to direct me to the appropriate thread.

1. Should I reset the MMI to its “factory settings” to completely clear out the previous owner’s preferences?

2. It will need new tires. I don’t think I will go with the OE Hankook’s. The car will never see snow. Any middle-of-the-road suggestions?

Thank you.

  1. Yes, Reset it and log in with your myAudi login details.
  2. I've always had Conti sport 6 - They're on the softer side so you may need to change them more often but they're extremely comfortable and have excellent grip.
Best
Ash

on #2, i would at least try the contis he mentioned they are an OE tire. I'm a big conti fan. you are driving a fairly elite car, so putting ultra pedestrian rubber on it would be more of a compromise that what i'd want. however, there are probably as many tire opinions as their are people.

I am considering going to Costco because it would be very convenient for me but their selection is a little limited. Any thoughts on getting them from Costco and which ones?

I life in South Florida and have the Conti Sportcontact 6. On my 2nd set. They are a great tire, excellent ride, great in dry and wet. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend them.

Best thing that you can do is go to the tirerack website and read the user reviews…
