I was googling the size of the trunk in my RSQ8 as I have to pick up a large item later today and somehow came across Nürburgring times and found that the RSQ8 has a Nürburgring time of 7:42 while the Urus has 7:47. I'm keeping in mind, different drivers, different days etc but I was shocked to see this.

Did anyone else know or hear about this?

Correct, it was big news 3 years ago (end of 2019).
But I think Porsche beat that recently. Yes, had to look it up;

2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT: 7:39

So RSQ8 is now, after having the record for three years, the second fastest SUV around that track.

And even if it's different drivers, conditions, etc. I bet my still-waiting-for-delivery-RSQ8 that the manufacturers do everything they can to set the best possible time. Multiple days, lots of tries, different tires, and so on.

But the Cayenne Turbo GT can't tow, so meh, the RSQ8 is still the true "SUV" king of the Ring.

They are pretty much the same car with each companies tweaks here and there. for URUS you notice it even more as interior is almost identical with shape differences and logos here and there

For sure they are nearly identical, everyone knows that but you would think they wouldn't allow the $150k Audi to be faster than the $300K Lambo...that's all!
