Anyone strip their license plate bracket yet? Dealer stripped mine when installing the temp tag, I didn’t know until I went to put on my plates.

I purchased a universal mount from Amazon, but it makes the plate sit too low.

My first scroll through on this forum and I see the exact same issue I just experienced.
I was thinking of removing the nut and epoxying a new one to the license plate bracker as the dealer fubared mine all up when they installed the temp tag on the car.

I tired 3 different brackets.

This one is $10 and perfectly centers the plate. Use your OEM mounting torx.

Glad it worked out. Truth be told, I purchased and tried 3 different holders before finding this one.

I ended up buying the one from Amazon but unsure how to fit it on my Q8 rear plate.

The photo shows that when the dealer installed the temporary plate they damaged the upper left and upper right area where the screw goes. I was able to use one screw from the upper left to put on plate with a screw now on bottom right.

Confused on how to install the Amazon plate I bought from original post #4?

I am not able to remove the Audi plate seen in photo as even if you unscrew the two pieces it’s stuck on the car... glue???

I may just buy one more screw so my new plate at least has the bottom two screws.

Take that off and trash it. Clean off the tape. Use those torx to mount your Amazon model.
