I had my detailer so a new car paint prep and overall I did have any issues just a some small areas which he corrected. Yes it’s possible with any new car.

My car came from the factory with visible smudging of the clearcoat. I wasn't stressed about it because it went straight to my detailer for pain correction, PPF, and ceramic. Cars get produced with messy paint jobs all the time and 99.9% of people don't care/don't notice, but once you start seeing it, you can't unsee it.

Unless you are a Tesla fanboi who cannot see the huge panel gaps / orange peel paint and defends the car no matter what

i agree what is it with Tesla owners? I have been in 3 Tesla’s and all rattle like crazy and the gaps are all off along with the trim below the windows on driver and passenger doors. They definitely have a following especially in South Florida. They also seem to love the free chargers. 😜

Someone say Tesla?!? My 2021 Model S which I paid $3300 extra for the multi coat red came with completely mismatched rear pumper paint when compared to the rest of the car.

I've found a few paint issues with no idea where they came from, but they seem to have scratched away the surface paint and left a cloudy smear. Another was from a bird **** that somehow ate into the paint and left a permanent mark now as well.
I agree with you 100%, was thinking this exact same thing the other day.... my driving patterns haven't changed, no bird dropping issues however just seeing small "rock" chips appearing. Very little highway driving. The other day passenger door, obviously got dinged in a parking lot...... no dent just another "chip". Of course touch up paint is about 3-4 weeks backordered......
