Hi, I'm thinking of getting a 2020 Audi Q8 Prestige, its fully loaded with Luxury Package as well as S-line package. I noticed on the Carfax that the fuel pump and alternator were just recently replaced last month. Does that mean it won't have the problems that Q8's have been having with the car dying all of a sudden. Has anyone that got it replaced have any further issues? Thanks!

I didn't have any issue with mine, but I believe one of those were a recall (I maybe wrong and I don't have the service records with me). My 2020 Q8 was solid with 40K.

The fuel pump is a recall if I recall correctly. The alternator is not, but Audi extended the warranty significantly, 7 years I think? The concern is the alternator dying on you when you're hundreds of miles from an Audi dealer. From what one can read on this forum, the car totally dies.

The fuel pump was a recall.

The generator is a service action, think they are replacing those even if they haven’t failed.

in your case, both are new, so nothing to be worried about. Nothing out of the ordinary.
