Where is HVAC air filter located?

Its PITA to get to. Its in the engine bay, passenger side
near the firewall. You have to remove the plastic tray, windshield wiper arms and metal trim under the wiper arms. The filter is housed in a black plastic box under a lid held in with 3 small (8mm) hex bolts. The filter comes out straight up. I did mine about a month ago and to my surprise there was none installed. Mine had a bunch of leaves and junk wedged in the bottom that I vacuumed out.
