What do you guys think of B5 S4's?

Yup, the 2.8 is a pig here at altitude, but they make great daily transport..
And as my buddy calls the 2.8 B5's; "the Camry of the Audi's".. ;-)
Wish I had the 1.8T; such a sweet friggen motor that's capable of huge power..

They are very nice, but quite a bit smaller than the C4
I'm on my 2nd 2.7t (b5 s4 avant), previous was a 2.7t c5 a6. I have had no turbo troubles with either (combined mileage in excess of 100k), both past and present APR chipped. Yes, the C4 is a bit easier to work on (fewer of everything). The 3 folks I know who have blown turbos (some more than once) are very hard on their cars (full boost on a cold engine or right before shutdown, no turbo timers or after-run mods etc). I've also run amsoil exclusively in them, for what it's worth. If you are after a sedan, I would check out the c5 a6 2.7t with 6-spd too. I still miss mine. Perfect amount of room, add some coilovers and it handles like a dream, I just wish they had made wagon... I guess I could get an AR.

Love the look and the smooth power.
Silver over black, bird's eye trim. pl0z!
For a DD, the 2.8 B5 A4 is the ticket.
I would love to have a B5 S4, as above. But as soon as my wife figured out how much more they cost to keep going than the UrS, I'd have to find a good lawyer.
