Default Wastegate Hose Not Connected

Hi folks, long time lurker, not often poster. I've been trying to diagnose a misfire under hard boost issue this morning after reading Dave's write-up, I'm thinking it may be coils, since it's fine at idle and low boost (which rules out POS if I was reading correctly). However while I was checking my MAF to turbo hose for leaks, I noticed this hose just hanging loose near the wastegate. I have no clue where the banjo bolt is, and have another one en route to get it back on.

My question is; could this be causing/related to my misfire? My Googling didn't return much, because I don't know the name or function of this hose, and if someone thinks it could be related to the misfire, it would save me the time/money/energy I'm about to use to test new coils. Thanks in advance!

That hose is missing the connection to the wastegate. You have no wastegate control and will only be getting 6 psig max boost (instead of say 17 psig stock). You need the banjo bolt and the two washers. When you get this sorted, you are really going to have an ignition miss problem:

Default I replaced the banjo bolt and copper washers and...

It seems to have corrected the misfiring under boost issue. Maybe I got lucky this time, I'll be keeping an eye on it to make sure this wasn't masking a larger issue. I appreciate the diagrams, thanks again for the help.

The point is, without that hose hooked up, you don't have any boost control. Buy/find the necessary parts and fix the issue, then move on to your ignition issue if it still exists (it will).

I understand what you're saying, but I had a spare banjo bolt that fit perfectly (power steering hose replacement from awhile back), I got two copper washers, installed the bolt and hose back on the wastegate, and it's working correctly now. No ignition problems that I can see/feel when driving. Is there something else I should watch out for, even though it seems to be driving well? The car cranks and drives great, so it doesn't seem to have any ignition problems (that I can surmise anyway).

Good news/you lucked out. N 90358003, (Item 11 below), the banjo bolt at the wastegate is the same as the banjo bolt used to attach the power steering hoses to the steering rack. This is different than the N 90467404 (Item 16 below), used to attach the high pressure hose to the power steering pump.
