I am 99% sure it around 435, give or take a dozen.
I am including 95's and 95.5's which are also titled as 95's, but mostly sold during the 1996 model year. What is commonly referred to as a 95.5 S6 would in fact have been called a 96 by Audi if it had OBD2. Main differences are the Sport wheel, EDL, and the Avus wheels. A car that has NONE of these is almost for sure a 1995, and a car that has ALL of these is almost for sure a 1995.5. Cars with some combination of the above could go either way. I believe the last batch of the S6 Avants for US sale was built in September 1995 and the serial numbers end in 121xxx. Mine is such a car as it was first sold in November 1995. Sticker says 1995, title says 1995, Audi-freaks call it a 1995.5.

Re: Thanks Jim, my build date is November of 95 so I must have one of the last to come over..
If you are interested, your engine will have a separate build date sticker. It's on the front timing belt cover. It appears from loking at several cars that the engines were not installed in the same order that they were built, i.e. I've seen earlier cars with newer engines than later-built cars and vice-versa (within reason of course).
