The price is great, even...
if we are only talking about a simple reppair(cleanning/Seal kit/calibrating), but are you really sure you want to modify it?? You are also considering to modify your software?

he was going to get me a k27
but he said i would be unhappy with the lag so he said he would use my housing and put a different turbine and shaft and increase the flow so i wont be spooling as much and getting more boost he said if i let it go Which im not even thinking about but if i wanted to i could get up to 35psi. as far as software i am chipped and i was running 21psi before so i should be ok i guess un less theres something i dont know

My opinion:
I had a RS2 turbo(A Garret replic from Javad) and now I have a 3071GT(Ball bearing turbo), and man, it really makes a huge difference in performance!! Spools almost 1000rpm's sooner and when it spools it's like twice quicker/harder than the RS2 one, with no problems at all to reach/maintain the 2.0 bar boost. These new ball bearing turbos are really ****inn inovative- can you imagine that after I shut down the engine the turbine keeps turning around for 45-50seconds until it stops???? A conventional turbo normally cant even turn around when the engine is at idle... Yff I were you I would really consider to REALLY upgrade your turbo with the 2871GT- must be magnificent!!! Comparing to what happened in case with the RS2 to 3071 swap, you should have a quicker and much stronger spool than your k24 offers you, and a top end like an RS2 one- the best of two worlds! Of course you will have to spend a few more nickels, but why dont you call Javad and ask him if he want to keep your old turbo if you buy him a new 2871GT? Just a tought...
