Default IIRC, Hap had a custom IM fabbed that looked something like that.

I vaguely remember pictures here.

Default found it on s2forum

its a 'members only' section of the site so I didn't bother posting the link (I *hate* that about s2forum, no reason for requiring membership to view pages IMO).

anyway, the guy mentioned he had an injector stick open while on nitrous during a 1/4 mile run causing a massive backfire which split the manifold. you can see a huge crack in a non-welded section of the manifold which takes serious force to do.. If it was just the weld seam that was cracked you could argue shoddy welding but it must have been some explosion to do the damage that it did.

Default I thought it might have been you playing with funny fuel mixtures

Must have made a helluva noise.

I wonder what the throttle plate looks like. Probably bent in half at the shaft.

Surprised all of the injectors did not blow out and go through the hood.

Default wow. that must have been some backfire into the intake and not just boost/poor weld..

interesting how he used original IM to setup secondary injection.

Yep. He had a stock IM modified to eliminate the tubes used for IM bolt access.
