Subwoofer Trunk Installation - Where NOT to Drill?

Subwoofer Trunk Installation - Where NOT to Drill?
So I figured...what the hell...Woot.com had a good deal on a powered sub setup (about a week ago), and I've already got RCAs running from my Alpine 9856 back to the trunk. This particular unit has mounting plates that require you to attach the sub by drilling into the trunk floor and screwing the sub to the floor. The four holes for mounting are in a rectangular shape, with the following dimensions (stated with their orientation in the car for proper positioning of the sub driver).
Front-to-back: 10" apart. Left-to-Right: 4" apart.
Just want to make sure I don't drill into the fuel tank or brake lines. Also figuring that I'd put the sub on the "shelf" directly behind the rear seat and in front of the spare tire area.
Other thoughts...just use lots of velcro, or get creative with straps.
Thanks!

drilling into trunk floor = rust
don't drill. use some beefy zip ties or something like that. there is a steel wall separating the passenger compartment from the trunk in these cars anyway, so there's no danger of it getting into the cabin in an accident.

Yeah, I know...
...now that my 100% CA car is going through its first Chicago winter, I am highly sensitized to rust.
Just want to make sure that it isn't rolling around back there during track days!

Make it easily removable for track days!
Mine comes out with one electrical connector and one nut. I have an eye bolt screwed into the top of the sub box. A threaded rod goes through the eye bolt and is captured via a U bolt by the clips that hold the rear seat in. A pair of nuts and washers on the threaded rod capture the eye bolt. This keeps the box fixed in place but it takes 2 minutes to remove or install.

You can barely see it in this pic...
See the threaded rod on top:

The rod could can flop around when the sub box is out, but (a happy accident) the big magnet on the 6x9 speaker keeps it in place.
The red strap holds the plastic bin and has nothing to do with the subwoofer. (& has since been replaced with a long bungee cord which works much better.)
