"sunk" it:
sideways into a ditch.
it was actually fairly gentle. turned into the road to the hanger, and always in the past I tap the gas and do a very mild fishtail. Except for today it was glazed ice under a very light dusting of snow. So doing a fishtail was a bad idea, cause the car 180'd in a split second and put me sideways in the snow-bank on the side of a ditch.
passenger front sunk into the deep snow and the frame high-centered on the hard pack of the snow bank. Lots of digging and a dump trunk pull-out later she was back on the road. Broke my bumper cover a bit, a few of the ribs that the grilles clip in to are toast (so my grilles no longer fit). I don't think there any other damage... UrS4's are pretty tough cars =D

The stealership will happily sell you a new bumper for $1,125
When force5 has them, $1,000, used. I have been looking for awhile as well, and I might have found 1. A little frustrating.

all of those ribs have broken at one time or another on my car
some are jb welded back together, some are stitched back together with zipties. works fine.
