RS2 Fuel Pump
Hi, I've seen a new Walbro RS2 fuel pump for sale at ?85 which delivers 255 litres per hour and was wondering if this would fit an UR S4?
Is the performace at 255 litres good?
Seems really cheap and I could do with replacing my stock one as its got 154,000 miles on it!
Cheers...........James

I believe it will be wrong size (dia. or length). My research showed that....
the Walbro's can't maintain the required pressure as flows increase, IF you are making high boost, e.g. 28 psi in an upgraded turbo and injector scenario.
If you are just stock a new VDO, Pierburg or Bosch that replaces the 091G stock pump will be more than fine. These should be available on the internet for about $120.
ONLY if you are making big hp (over 400 hp) do you need to upgrade the fuel pump beyond OEM spec. IF that is the case, the Bosch Motorsport 044 is the way to go. Cody Payne (and a few others) did this. Cody did a write up. Search the forum in the last year (since Sept 2005) for "044".
A procedure to replace the stock pump can be found at:

http://forums/audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/86586.phtml</a

Bosch "005" flows 85% of "044" and costs ~$100 less.
Which will support up to 550hp 28psi. That's a more reasonable option than 044, for those with goals less than 650hp ;-)

I just spent 1 hr searching for info on a Bosch "005" pump. Can't find ANYTHING. Do you have...

another link besides 034efi?? I tried several different leads but found nothing on the "005". Didn't even look like a good Bosch number. I did find a graph of the 0 580 254 044 output as you can see above.
