Default POS-replacement coil kit-- what coils?

What car uses the #06B 905 115R coils as OEM? Rather than going all the way accross town to the dealer, I'm hoping to pick up a couple of these from the Checker down the street-- but he needs to know the original car model that uses them to look them up in his computer.

I have the wiring harness from 034 that replaces the POS and etc ignition circuit with newer coils. I know the VW part number, and I can get them from my local VW dealer. However, in my car the coils regularly wear out, and it's a royal PITA to get to the dealer because he's on the other side of town. If I can get them from my LFAPS I think I'd be happier.

I have a chip that might be responsible for the mediocre coil life, but I can't do the high output upgrade just now...

Thanks!

The latest 1.8t Golf or Jetta that shows up in his computer. Not the 2.0t FSI

What's the difference between the 1.8t and the 2.0TFSI?

Dan at 034 just emailed saying that the newest options that would work are from 07-09 FSI Audis, but I don't know which models he's referring to.

those are the 715s

It's the coils used in:
Volkswagen/Audi 2.0Ts and 2.5Ls

also, the direct injection 3.2L and 4.2L... and the 5.2L V10s all use them.

If they regularly wear out, maybe its time to consider another option, or a way to improve what you have.

Running any form of coil cover? - remove

Running stock exhaust manifold? - rs2 or 034motorsports manifold to get heat away from the head

consider coils on firewall? - 034 or EFIexpress setup

I recommend the delphi D585 coil conversion, if you already have the 1.8T harness
you can change the 5 coil plugs with these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS2-C...Q5fAccessories

the buy a set of spark plug cables and coils from Marc Swanson, fabricate a bracket, smile
and never look back!
