I was wondering if anyone has ever had any luck with repainting the black textured rub strip part of the urs4 bumpers? What kind of paint would be used?

If you are trying to hide the black texure you will need to use a flexible filler and primer first before going body colour.

If you are trying to just repaint the black black then you will want to first make sure that the area in question is completely free of oils, waxes, bugs, grease, etc. and then spray with a flexible paint made for bumpers.

I have painted the coloured portion of an UrS4 bumper, using a high build flexible primer (several coats) to fill in the stone pits. Then I just used a normal automotive spray paint (a Ford colour as it happened, not perfect match)
